SMK Jitra or officially Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Jitra, is a Malaysian public secondary school in the township of Jitra, Kedah Darul Aman. SMK Jitra has a few students in the Malaysian Certificate of Education (Malay:Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia). Students of SMK Jitra are known as SEMENTRANS. It is one of Malaysia's smart schools. In 2005, it won the Anugerah Kualiti Menteri Pelajaran for the secondary school category.

SMK Jitra also provides those form six students in Kedah to further their study. In science subjects and also Malay Literature.

SMK Jitra had won Piala Dato' Shukor Malay Debate Championship in 2006 defeating SMK Teknik Setapak. The school was champion of the national bahasa Melayu Debate Competition for 2006 and the first runner-up for 2007.
